Brewster Village Is Licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a Skilled Nursing Facility With the Capacity to Serve 204 Residents.

We provide both short term rehabilitation and long term care services to individuals who meet the criteria for admission in a nursing home.

Individuals requiring short-term rehabilitation typically stay from one week to three months. They receive skilled nursing care and participate in physical, occupational, and speech language therapies as needed. The goal for these individuals is to return home and function independently, or with support services.

Individuals requiring long-term care services are usually with us six months or more. Many will make Brewster Village their last residence. In addition to skilled nursing services, if necessary, they too will receive therapy services. The goal for these individuals is to maximize and maintain their highest possible level of independence.

In addition to skilled nursing and therapy services, all villagers have access to spiritual, psychosocial, nutritional, recreational activities and housekeeping and maintenance services are included in the daily rate. Massage therapy and hospice services are provided by agencies with whom we contract. Their services are available on a fee for service basis.

Brewster Village contracts with Mosaic Family Health for routine and emergency medical care. Physicians make rounds on a daily basis, Monday through Friday, to address immediate medical needs. Villagers may continue to see their personal physicians. In that case, they are responsible for transportation to and from their physician’s office. In turn, physicians are required to comply with the nursing home regulations governing medical services.

Brewster Village contracts with Aegis Therapies for physical, occupational and speech therapy services. Aegis’s licensed therapists and certified assistants assess villagers and provide services in our wellness center and in villagers’ households. For villagers requiring short-term rehabilitation, Aegis’s staff will provide home assessments and make recommendations for a smooth transition.
