Choice, dignity, respect, self-determination, and purposeful living are the core values of our care.

We Make It Your Home
We go above and beyond to make Brewster Village feel like home and provide a caring, comfortable environment.
Life Enrichment
There are many opportunities for daily life enrichment. Personal hobbies, baking/cooking, spiritual services/groups, book clubs, community outreach activities, entertainment groups, exploring the arts (music, painting, poetry, crafts), exercise/strength building, socials/happy hours, excursions to area stores, restaurants, museums, games and local attractions are a sampling of some of these activities – participate in as many or as few as you desire. Households of 13 – 14 individuals provide opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with other residents and staff. Private rooms and bathrooms become your space to customize with articles from home to make it your own.

Testimonials
Meet Donna, one of our Villagers. See what she has to say about Brewster Village.

Cycling Without Age was founded by Ole Kassow in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2012 with the goal of getting nursing home residents and people in our community with differing abilities outside to experience the wind in their hair and the sun on their face once again. It allows seniors the opportunity to explore the surrounding area in a rickshaw, build inter-generational relationships, share stories, and make memories that will last for a lifetime. In the summer of 2016, Brewster Village, Outagamie County’s Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care Facility along with the Fox Cities Cycling Association and Fox Cities Greenways brought the program to the community. Cycling Without Age is a perfect example of an exceptional experience which Brewster Village is committed to creating for its residents as well as others in the community.
The Guiding Principles:
- Generosity
- Slow Cycling
- Storytelling
- Relationships
- Without Age
Cycling Without Age is accessible to anyone who would like to ride. We encourage friends and family to ride with loved ones and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
We have met our goal of 5 rickshaws!! Thank you to the people who have donated to help us reach our goal and to Fox Cities Greenways, which as instrumental in raising funds and support in our surrounding communities.
There is more to be done. We would like to purchase a trailer so we can take the bikes to other surrounding trail systems to give our villagers more experiences in our area. Plus, we must build a fund to repair/replace bike parts as needed in the future. Please consider a donation to keep the “wind blowing through the hair” of our villagers.
Most importantly, we need volunteer pilots to give rides to our villagers to keep that “wind in their hair!” Please consider becoming a volunteer pilot.
If you wish to donate to the program or become a volunteer pilot (operator of the rickshaw) contact Brewster Village at 920 832-5400.
